In GATE R&D testing at 40 metres, V31 achieved 53.9% tighter average MOA and an 112.7% higher average SCORE compared with V22. The best recorded individual 50-shot series reached MOA 25.32 and SCORE 87.

The installation method and the components reused from the original pistol differ between versions.
Installation and setup
Installation requires access to the rear section of the PULSAR S2 engine and the hop-up and inner-barrel assembly. Correct lubrication, free nozzle movement and careful reassembly are essential for the final result.
After installation, check the hop-up adjustment and retune Dp for the individual setup. Use the lowest Dp that still provides reliable operation, as specified in the V31 installation instructions.

What is V31?
V31 is the PTX upgrade kit combining GATE’s precision POM nozzle with a dedicated nozzle spring and revised stabilization of the sealing, hop-up and inner-barrel system.
Is V31 the same as the earlier V22 upgrade kit?
No. V31 uses a POM nozzle and a revised component configuration developed after the earlier V22 system.
Do I need to replace the complete PULSAR S2 engine?
No. V31 is a retrofit of the accuracy-critical nozzle and stabilization components in the existing PTX and PULSAR S2 system.
Can I install the kit myself?
An experienced user or technician can install the kit by following the official instructions. The work requires engine and hop-up disassembly, correct lubrication and careful reassembly.
Will every PTX achieve the same result?
Final performance depends on the complete setup, including BBs, hop-up adjustment, pressure, valve timing, barrel condition, lubrication, assembly quality and environmental conditions. The published figures describe the tested cohorts and are not a guarantee for every individual pistol.
Which hop-up bucking do you recommend?
The best results are achieved with the Maple Leaf AUTOBOT 60° rubber hop-up bucking. This recommendation applies to the rubber version, not the silicone version.
