ACCURACY STARTS WITH THE DESIGN

Tight groups.
Easy installation.

Tight groups start with a well-built replica. RAPTOR connects the engine and hop-up chamber as one aligned assembly. Installation is easier, BB flight is flat and the engine makes efficient use of your air supply.

01

Fully drop-in

No tedious alignment or nozzle-length selection. The engine and chamber are a matched assembly, with clearance to move freely inside the gearbox.

02

Exceptional accuracy

VSR buckings and extended nozzle travel help deliver a flat, repeatable BB trajectory.

03

Every engine tested

Every RAPTOR goes to our shooting range. Recorded impacts let us check accuracy and grouping.

04

Lower air consumption

We improved air consumption compared with PULSAR S2 V31 to get more from the air in your tank.

ACCURACY / VSR BUCKINGS AND EXTENDED NOZZLE TRAVEL

Flat flight.
Tight groups.

RAPTOR is the world's only HPA engine for V2 and V3 gearboxes to combine VSR buckings with extended nozzle travel. The result is exceptional accuracy and a remarkably flat BB trajectory.

Extended nozzle travel allows proper operation with VSR / GBB buckings. Choose the profile and hardness that suit your BBs and play style. The lightweight POM nozzle delivers low friction and resists wear.

FREEFLOAT / DROP-IN INSTALLATION

Aligned by design.
Less time on the workbench.

RAPTOR is a fully drop-in engine for your chosen V2 or V3 platform. Connect it to the hop-up chamber, and clearance around the engine body lets it stay aligned with the barrel. There is no tedious engine alignment or trial and error with nozzle lengths. The nozzle is matched to the chamber at the factory to seat each BB precisely in the hop-up bucking.

01

Connect the engine to the chamber

The QD connection aligns the nozzle with the hop-up chamber. Its factory-matched length places the BB correctly in the bucking.

02

Leave clearance inside the gearbox

Mounting clearance around the engine body prevents the gearbox from forcing it out of alignment.

03

The engine follows the barrel

Within this clearance, the engine, chamber and barrel stay on one axis, even when the upper and lower are not perfectly aligned.

QUALITY CONTROL / GATE SHOOTING RANGE

Every engine.
Tested on our range.

Before RAPTOR reaches a player, it undergoes an individual accuracy test at our shooting range at a distance of 40 metres. The system records impact positions on the target so we can assess grouping.

Individual tests also include starting the engine at extremely low and extremely high pressure, as well as measuring FPS consistency. Every engine must meet GATE's rigorous criteria. If the result does not meet our rigorous standards, the engine is not shipped.

GATE EON VSR HOP-UP CHAMBERS

VSR accuracy.
In your HPA setup.

EON VSR builds on the proven design of GATE EON hop-up chambers. Adapted for VSR buckings and barrels, it brings EON's precise adjustment together with the flat, stable BB flight the VSR standard is known for.

The chamber integrated with RAPTOR, extended-travel nozzle and VSR bucking work as one matched system. The factory-matched nozzle length places the BB precisely in the bucking, without searching for a nozzle size that fits your replica.

CNC precision. Repeatable adjustment.

Accurate machining and close fits stabilize the barrel and bucking. The POM clip limits barrel rotation, while TDC guidance keeps the nub level. Tune the hop to your BBs and focus on the game.

  • CNC-machined aluminium body for precise construction and stable component positioning.

  • TDC adjustment applies vertical, centred pressure to the hop-up bucking.

  • POM anti-rotation barrel clip keeps the barrel correctly positioned.

  • Clear numbering and an easy-to-use wheel help you tune hop-up to your BB weight.

TDC IN ACTION

Pressure from above.
Hop under control.

TDC guides the nub vertically, centred over the barrel axis. Pressure changes while the nub stays level. Even contact between bucking and BB helps produce consistent hop and straight flight.

  1. Turn the adjustment wheel

Adjust hop pressure to suit your BB weight and replica setup.

  2. The nub moves vertically

TDC guidance keeps pressure centred without tilting the nub sideways.

  3. The bucking applies backspin

The VSR bucking works through the barrel window and gives the BB the backspin that produces its flat trajectory.

VSR bucking included

RAPTOR includes an EON VSR chamber and a VSR hop-up bucking. Choose the chamber version for your V2 or V3 gearbox.

Choose a VSR barrel

A barrel is not included. A standard AEG barrel does not fit the EON VSR chamber — you need a VSR-standard barrel.

QD CONNECTION TO THE HOP-UP CHAMBER

Turn the ring.
Disconnect the chamber.

The QD connection keeps the nozzle aligned with the hop-up chamber, reducing the influence of play between your replica's components on the assembly.

Rotate the ring to unlock it, then separate the engine and chamber along their shared axis. Reconnect them and the chamber locates the engine again.

OPEN-BOLT / SINGLE SOLENOID

One solenoid.
Accuracy and speed.

RAPTOR gets its accuracy from matched mechanics: the engine, chamber and barrel share one axis, the nozzle length is factory-matched, and a VSR bucking applies the hop. There is no need for closed-bolt operation or a long pause between feeding the BB and firing.

One solenoid controls the entire open-bolt cycle. RAPTOR feeds a BB for the very first shot, with no empty starting cycle. Its short cycle supports high rates of fire — 50 BBs per second is well within RAPTOR's capability.

  • OPEN-BOLT

    Accuracy through matched mechanics

Shared alignment, the correct nozzle length and a VSR bucking deliver exceptional accuracy without a long pause before firing.

  • FIRST SHOT

A BB from the first pull

Your first trigger pull fires a BB. You do not lose it to an empty starting cycle.

  • 50 BB/s

    Speed when you need it

The short open-bolt cycle provides headroom for high rates of fire. RAPTOR supports 50 BBs per second.

Feed a BB. Fire. One cycle.

One solenoid controls the engine in open-bolt operation. RAPTOR maintains accuracy without a long pause after feeding the BB. Adjust timing and rate of fire through a compatible ETU.

Actual rate of fire also depends on electronics settings, pressure and the magazine's ability to feed BBs.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

Good to know.

Drop-in installation, accuracy, quality control and choosing a complete setup.

How does RAPTOR's freefloat design work?

The engine connects directly to the hop-up chamber, with mounting clearance around its body inside the gearbox. Within this clearance, the gearbox and lower receiver do not force the engine, chamber and barrel out of their shared alignment.

Which barrel do I need for RAPTOR?

You need a VSR-standard barrel. A barrel is not included with RAPTOR and must be purchased separately. A standard AEG barrel does not fit the VSR chamber.

What is the difference between V2 and V3?

The RAPTOR engine itself is the same. V2 and V3 versions use different hop-up chambers to suit your replica. Choose a set with ASTER II Bluetooth® for your gearbox or a version without an ETU / FCU. V2 ASTER II sets are available with front or rear wiring.

Which hop-up buckings does RAPTOR support?

A VSR hop-up bucking is included. Extended nozzle travel supports VSR / GBB buckings. If you change the bucking, choose a profile and hardness suited to your BBs and setup.

How do I release the QD connection?

First rotate the ring to unlock it. The engine and chamber then separate along their shared axis. The engine body sections themselves are threaded together.

Can the version without an ETU operate on its own?

No. The version without an ETU / FCU requires compatible control electronics and a suitable HPA supply. Check the compatibility of your setup before choosing parts; contact GATE if you need help.

Does autocalibration with SOL adjust the pressure?

You adjust pressure manually on the regulator, following GCS guidance. During autocalibration, SOL measures BB velocity and a compatible ETU automatically selects engine timing. You need SOL, GCS and electronics that support this function.

Do I need an extra adapter to connect to GCS?

ASTER II Bluetooth® connects directly to GCS using built-in Bluetooth. No USB-Link or Blu-Link is required for this connection. Available app functions depend on the connected ETU and its firmware.

Is RAPTOR fully drop-in?

Yes — the engine is drop-in for your chosen V2 or V3 platform. It connects directly to the hop-up chamber, and the freefloat design provides clearance inside the gearbox. This removes tedious engine alignment and nozzle-length selection. The nozzle is factory-matched to the chamber and seats the BB precisely in the bucking. Purchase a VSR barrel separately; a standard AEG barrel does not fit this chamber. Choose compatible control electronics and an HPA supply. After installation, tune hop-up and engine timing, then check muzzle energy with a chronograph.

Is every engine tested for accuracy?

Yes. Every engine undergoes its own accuracy test at the GATE shooting range. The system records impact positions, and the engine must meet our grouping criteria.

What do VSR buckings and extended nozzle travel offer?

Extended nozzle travel allows proper VSR / GBB bucking operation in an engine for V2 and V3 gearboxes. Together with the shared alignment of the engine, chamber and barrel, this delivers exceptional accuracy and a flat BB trajectory. Match your bucking profile and hardness to your BB weight and setup.

Is RAPTOR air-efficient?

Yes. We improved air consumption compared with PULSAR S2 V31. The number of shots from a tank also depends on tank size and fill, pressure, engine timing, barrel, BBs and muzzle energy.

Why does RAPTOR use one solenoid rather than two?

RAPTOR achieves exceptional accuracy in open-bolt operation through shared engine, chamber and barrel alignment, a factory-matched nozzle length and a VSR bucking. It does not need closed-bolt operation or a long pause between feeding and firing. One solenoid controls the entire cycle. The first shot already fires a BB, with no empty starting cycle, while the short cycle supports 50 BBs per second. To use this rate, match your ETU settings, HPA supply and magazine feeding performance.
